Vacuum Pumps and Generators

Flexible, modular, and energy-efficient

Vacuum Pumps/Generators using COAX® technology

Piab vacuum pumps/generators are predominately based on the patented COAX® technology; an advanced solution for creating vacuum with compressed air. Utilizing multistage technology, COAX® cartridges are smaller, more efficient and more reliable than conventional ejectors, which allow for the design of a flexible, modular and efficient vacuum system. A vacuum system based on COAX® technology can provide three times more vacuum flow than conventional systems, allowing increased speed with higher reliability while reducing energy consumption.

  • Piab COAX vacuum pumps are a patented multi-stage technology that can operate within the range of 25 to 87 psi
  • Developed to provide extra vacuum flow in combination with deep maximum vacuum levels while keeping energy consumption at a minimum
  • Pumps have no moving parts that vibrate or wear out, increasing reliability and keeping them virtually maintenance-free
  • Modular and interchangeable to 7,000 combinations
  • Can be positioned very close to the point of suction, improving efficiency over conventional pumps by 40%
  • Silent technology at whisper levels for noise-free working environments

Some typical applications include:

  • Corrugated board and bag handing
  • Metal stamping and press transfer
  • Glass/solar panel handling
  • Vacuum packaging or lamination/bagging
  • Fluid systems assembly (e.g. cars and refrigerators)
  • Leak testing
  • Thermo-forming plastic sheets
  • Paper sheet feeding
  • Rapid robotic sorting
  • Automated palletizing
