Manual Directional Control Valves

In pneumatic applications, manual directional control valves start, stop, direct, or change the direction of compressed airflow without the need for electrical energy.


Benefits:

  • Manual valves can be used as 2, 3, or 4 ways and can operate with vacuum up to 150 PSI.
  • They can incorporate many different operators for actuation including lever, cam roller, push button, foot pedal, and multi-position switch
  • Can be ordered with detent for static applications or spring centering for positioning applications
  • Wide array of materials of construction including composite, brass, aluminum, stainless steel, and many different coatings for corrosion resistance

Safety:

Compressed air is powerful, therefore it is imperative to incorporate safety mechanisms to avoid equipment damage and failure as well as to protect workers. Applications requiring a pushbutton to start a process require concurrent action of recessed buttons to generate a signal. This signal should immediately stop of one or both buttons are released and should not restart until these buttons are again actuated concurrently.

Mead's CSV valve incorporates two-hand anti-tiedown technology. This provides safer operation of drill fixtures, clamping fixtures, air presses, valves, cylinders, and light assembly equipment. Available with many options including Washdown and Low-Stress/Ergonomic Versions.
